FAQs

What made you begin to make cosmetics?

It all started when I was about 13 years old. My sister and I had allergic reactions to the skincare that was available to us at the time. Even products designed for sensitive skin. I began to research basics in homemade cosmetics and carried on from there.

Are your products vegan?

Most of our products are vegan friendly, unless stated otherwise. Occasionally, animal products such as milk, honey or beeswax are used in our cosmetics, this will be clearly labelled for our customers.

How do your products affect the environment?

All of our products are made with ingredients that are sustainably sourced and renewable. All of our packaging is predominantly made of glass and kraft card, and are entirely reusable or recyclable. On occasion, plastics have been included as part of our packaging. All of which is also recyclable.

Are your products good for sensitive skin?

All of our products are made with allergies in mind. Aloe Vera is an ingredient that is never use by The Herb Cupboard. Although the risk of allergic reactions is something that will never be completely removed, we do everything in our power to reduce the risk as much as possible.
